Revinate alternatives

Revinate is a guest data platform for hotels that combines a CRM, email marketing and a reputation and survey module called Revinate Feedback, and it does not publish its pricing. If all you need is review management, there are alternatives with published prices such as GuestRevu (which has a free plan), MARA, TrustYou and Customer Alliance, plus Shiji ReviewPro for chains. PolarPuffin, the tool made by Polargate, is the alternative for independent hotels that do not need a CRM and want to know every week what to fix first based on their reviews.

Written by Polargate, the company that makes PolarPuffin, so we are an interested party. Data about other tools comes from their official websites, with the date it was checked.

What Revinate is and who it is for

Revinate describes itself on its website as a data activation platform for hotels: it connects the systems that hold guest data, merges each guest into a single profile and uses that data for marketing and direct sales. It says it works with more than 12,500 hotels and is built for independent hotels, resorts, hotel groups and enterprise brands. Its main US office is in Bend, Oregon.

Revinate is a set of products. The ones named on its website are:

  • Revinate Core, the customer data platform (CDP).
  • Revinate Marketing and Revinate Pathways, for email marketing and marketing automation.
  • Revinate Feedback, for review management and surveys.
  • Revinate Chat, Revinate Vault, Reservation Sales and RezForce, for guest messaging, phone sales and the call centre.
  • Ivy, the AI layer used across all of them.

The review side is Revinate Feedback. According to its page, it brings reviews from sites such as Google, Booking.com and Facebook into one dashboard alongside surveys, invites guests to review on Google or TripAdvisor, suggests AI replies and templates, scores sentiment from 0 to 100 by department (rooms, service, cleanliness), has a corporate dashboard with rankings and competitor benchmarks, and a ticketing system to assign issues. Surveys can run during or after the stay, anonymously by QR code, or for groups and events, and they are triggered automatically through the PMS. Survey answers feed the guest profiles used for email marketing.

Revinate does not publish pricing: its website asks you to request a demo. Its reputation page says you can buy review management without surveys and add them later.

When it makes sense to look for a Revinate alternative

Revinate makes the most sense the more of it you use: guest profiles, email marketing and reputation, all connected. It is worth looking at other options if any of these sound like you:

  • You only want to manage reviews. If you will not use the CRM or the email marketing, a standalone reputation tool is usually simpler to get going.
  • You want to see a price before a demo. Revinate does not publish one; several alternatives do.
  • You run a small hotel and nobody has time for a dashboard. In a 20 or 40-room hotel, the manager or the front desk need a few clear tasks more than a dashboard full of metrics.
  • You want to know what to change in the hotel, not just what reviews say. Scoring sentiment by department shows where complaints are; ranking what to fix first and checking afterwards whether it worked is a different job.
  • You want to start for free or try it on your own reviews before talking to sales.

If you mainly use Revinate for email marketing and guest data, the alternative is not a review tool but another hotel CRM, and this page does not cover those.

Revinate alternatives for review management

This table shows what each tool says on its official website as of 23 October 2026: who it is for, its published price and what it does. Prices are shown as each tool publishes them; PolarPuffin's exclude VAT, and the others do not say on their pages whether tax is included. The other tools list their prices in euros; PolarPuffin's are in US dollars, with the same figures as in euros. The last row is Revinate Feedback, for reference.

If you want a cheaper alternative to Revinate

Because Revinate does not publish a price, nobody can say exactly how much cheaper each alternative is. What you can compare is the entry price each alternative publishes and the contract that comes with it:

Published entry price, trial and contract for each Revinate alternative, according to its official website as of 23 October 2026
ToolPublished entry priceHow to try itContract
PolarPuffin$63 a month billed yearly, $79 month to month30 days free with no card, with the first report built from the hotel's real reviewsNo minimum term

The entry price is not the whole story: check what each plan includes (how many AI replies, whether there are surveys, how many competitors) and whether the price is per property. The guide on how to reply to hotel reviews helps you work out how many replies you really need.

Which alternative fits your hotel

Based on what each tool publishes, with no third-party opinions:

  • Independent hotel that wants to know what to fix first: PolarPuffin, which is ours. It reads your reviews and every week gives you the small, cheap changes that solve the most complaints, then checks whether they worked.
  • Guesthouse, B&B or very small hotel that wants to start for free: GuestRevu, with its free Lite plan or Core.
  • Hotel of up to 50 rooms with lots of reviews that wants to reply fast: MARA Lite, with AI replies posted from the tool.
  • Hotel or group that wants surveys and benchmarking in one dashboard: TrustYou CXP or Customer Alliance.
  • Chain that needs many sources, many languages and an index to benchmark against the market: Shiji ReviewPro.
  • Hotel or group that wants to combine reviews, guest data and email marketing: Revinate is still the option built for that.

PolarPuffin vs Revinate

PolarPuffin and Revinate do different jobs. Revinate is a platform for getting to know guests and selling to them direct, with reputation as one module among several. PolarPuffin only works with reviews, and its job is to tell you what to change in the hotel.

When Revinate suits you better. If you want guest surveys, to use their answers for email marketing, to read Facebook reviews too or to have a CRM with profiles for all your guests, Revinate does things PolarPuffin does not. PolarPuffin also does not analyse the hotel's restaurant, bar or beach club today.

When PolarPuffin suits you better. If you run an independent hotel, will not use a CRM and want to know what to change this week to get fewer complaints, with a published price and no minimum term. You can also use both: Revinate for marketing and PolarPuffin to decide what to fix.

How PolarPuffin sets priorities is explained on how it works and in the guide on how to tell what to fix first from your hotel's reviews. Plans are on the pricing page.
